HEARING TO START CONSIDERATION OF TURAN-SERVICE’S LAWSUIT POSTPONED

Today, 19 May, in Baku Economic Court #1, under the chairmanship of Judge Tahira Asadova, a hearing on Turan-Service Director Samir Ismayilov’s lawsuit against the Baku City Tax Department was supposed to take place.

The hearing was postponed because Head State Tax Inspector’s Office representatives Elman Mammedov and Jamil Mammedov did not come to court. The hearing has been rescheduled for 22 May 2009 at 2 p.m. 
According to S. Ismayilov, the Tax Department inspected Turan-Service and alleged that the company had evaded 3,400 AZN in taxes. As a result of this Turan-Service was fined 800 AZN. S. Imayilov does not agree with the Tax Department’s findings.
Turan-Service is seeking annulment of Baku City Tax Department Summons 0801020031979300 on the conduction of a mobile tax inspection, Decision 08000100148398 dated 7 July 2008 on the conduction of a mobile tax inspection, Decision 08001700692341 dated 17 September 2008 on lengthening the conduction of a mobile tax inspection and Act 08000102683297 dated18 September 2008 on a mobile tax inspection, return of the 972 AZN 54 gepik taken from the plaintiff, 7,000 AZN to be paid to the plaintiff for moral damages, 200 AZN to be paid to the plaintiff for court expenses, the placement of new orders on the plaintiff’s bank account in the event that a court decision is issued to cease execution, and declaration the removal of money for the plaintiff’s bank account be declared illegal.
