Today, July 27th, IRFS employee Fargana Novruzova faced police violence while making a news report about a court proceeding in the Supreme Court. Novruzova was interviewing lawyers Anar Gasimov and Elchin Sadigov when a police employee, without introducing himself, harrassed the journalists.
Using force, the police tried to seize the photo camera of the journalist and thus, in fact, hindered the professional work of the journalist and insulted her. Lawyer Anar Gasimov, who interfered with the incident, faced police violence as well.
