Today, 2 October, IRFS Nakhchivan Regional Correspondent Hekimeldostu Mehdiyev was stopped while going to work from Sharur District to Nakhchivan city and was sent back because the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhistan, and Kyrgyzstan are visiting Nakhchivan to participate in the 9th summit assembly of Turkish language states.
H.Mehdiyev said that the flags of the aforementioned countries were hung in the streets in the morning. Police began a strengthened work regime. The movement of people and cars was restricted. There are civil clothed employees of Law Enforcement Organs in every 10-15 meters in the city. Public buses coming to Nakhchivan city from the center of the regions and villages were stopped and the movement of the automobiles was prohibited. Taxis have been removed from the city, and in several schools lessons were stopped. Even cars have been banned from entering and leaving hospitals.
