JOURNALISTS FACE PRESSURE IN PROTEST MEETING OF RESIDENTS BEFORE THE PRESIDENT’S OFFICE

Today, several journalists faced pressures, while trying to report the protest meeting of residents in front of the President’s Office.

Specifically, the President’s Office guards seized the journalist ID cards of Turan news agency employees Rasim Aliyev, Mehman Huseynov, Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety employee Abulfat Namazov, Azadlig newspaper employee Ramin Deko and Yeni Musavat newspaper employee Elmin Badalov. Moreover, Turan correspondent Rasim Aliyev was taken to guarding department of the Office and the video that he shot in the protest meeting was viewed there. Later, the ID cards of the journalists were given back to them and they were ordered not to shoot the building of the President’s Office.
