Journalists who travelled to Ganja to visit the family of detained youth activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev were summoned to Ganja City Nizami District Police Station, reported Turan news agency and IRFS employee Adalat Ahmadov.

“We met with Hajiyev’s family. Then we wanted to meet with Hajiyev. However, a group of plain clothed and uniformed police summoned us to the police department. They told us that they wanted to clarify our intentions, because we were strangers to Ganja,” said Ahmadov.
The visiting journalists included Azadliq correspondent Ramin Deko, Turan news agency photo reporter Etimad Budagov, Adalat Ahmadov and others. The journalists were set free after a 10-15 minute conversation.
