Imprisoned journalist Eynulla Fatullayev underwent a medical examination due to his deterioriating health, reported his lawyer Anar Gasimov to Media forum news portal after his meeting with Fatullayev today.
A few days ago, Gasimov reported to media that Fatullayev had rash around his mouth.
The lawyer says that Fatullayev has been diagnosed with candidaisis fungi disease. “The journalist has also caught a skin disease. In addition, he has been advised to take medication for kidney problems. But Fatullayev is still being held in a cold concrete cell.”
Gasimov added that the journalist is willing to meet ombudsperson Elmira Huseynova and Justice Ministry Penitentiary Service public relations officer Mehman Sadigov.
