The Journalists’ Trade Union, with support from the Open Society Institute, has begun implementing a multi-stage project on the social rights of people working in the mass media field.
JUHI reported this is a press release it sent to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
JUHI Chairman Mushfig Alesgerli said that in the first stage of the project the social problems of mass media workers will be identified and socialized. In the second stage of the project, assistance will be provided to journalists who encounter social problems and/or have their labor rights violated. “For the first time, legal assistance is included in this. Necessary support for journalists in labor disputes, trials and other incomprehensible situations will be provided.
