“KORRUPSIYA VE JAMIYYAT” MAGAZINE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF CONCERNED ABOUT PRESSURE

A press conference was held today due to sudden death of investigator Rovshan Musayev who conducted the criminal case about Nigerian, Great Britain citizen Adeola Agbabiaka who had filed a lawsuit against “Korrupsiya ve Jamiyyat” magazine last year.

“Korrupsiya ve Jamiyyat” magazine Editor-in-chief Mammad Ahmadoglu emphasized that Rovshan Musayev investigated the case about Agbabiaka objectively; that is why his sudden death might be a result of pressure against him. “I want to let you know that we are also subjected to pressure. If a journalist (“Azadlig” newspaper journalist Agiil Khalil) is harassed to this extent because of the incident that happened in “Zeytun Baglari” (Olive Gardens), we are more concerned about pressure that might happen against us because this is an international case,” said Mammad Ahmadoglu.
Recall that Agbabika and his representative filed a lawsuit against "Korrupsiya va Jamiyyet" magazine and the magazine's founder and chief editor Mammad Ahmedoglu because of denouncing article that was published in the magazine. The investigation continues.
