Today, 7 December, in the Sabail District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Fuad Huseynov, a hearing was held on the lawsuit of Ashig Elesger’s grandchild and researcher Islam Elesger against independent journalist Gabil Zimistanoglu (Abdullayev) and “Ganun” publishing house.
Plaintiff Islam Elesger, Gabil Zimistanoglu on behalf of defendants, and representative of “Ganun” publication Muzaffar Bakhishov took part in the hearing.
Judge F.Huseynov said that the legal address of the “Ganun” publishing house is in the area of the second Alatava. He issued a decision to send the civil case to the Nasimi District Court to be considered.
The plaintiff claims that their copyright was violated as a result of “Ashig Elesger. All his works,” compiled by Gabil Zimistanoglu and published in the “Ganun” publishing house. I. Elesger is demanding that each of the defendants pay 10.000 AZN in compensation.
