LAWSUIT AGAINST “GUNDALIK BAKI” RESCINDED

Today (12 August) a hearing on the lawsuit of Gabil Mammadov (Assistant chief from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources' Department for Increasing and Protecting Biological Resources in Water Basins Department) against "Gundalik Baku", the newspaper's editor-in-chief Habil Valiyev, the newspaper's employees Kamran Maharramli and Ulvi Mahammadoglu, and Urshad Ahmadov, who submitted complaint letter to the newspaper, took place in the Yasamal District Court under the chairmanship of Judge Abbas Rzayev.

During the hearing plaintiff G. Mammadov said that he was rescinding the lawsuit he filed against the editor-in-chief and the employees of “Gundalik Baki” back. “I don’t have any claims against this newspaper,” said Mammadov. “I take my lawsuit back. My lawsuit is against Urshad Mammadov who gave false information to newspapers,” said Gabil Mammadov. 
Recall that Gabil Mammadov appealed to court claiming that his honor and dignity were degraded in the article “Fish Fall from Gabil's Hands," and was therefore seeking the institution of a150, 000 AZN fine against the newspaper and the author of the article.
