Today, 24 April, in the Narimanov District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Sevinj Aliyeva, a preliminary hearing was conducted on the special defamation lawsuit (articles 147 and 148 of the Crminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic) of Irina Huseynova against “Khural” Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Avaz Zeynalli and newspaper employee Intigam Adiloglu.
During the hearing Judge S.Aliyeva stated that the lawsuit was not composed according to the requirements of Criminal Procedural Code of Azerbaijan Republic and therefore she did not accept the case for consideration.
I. Huseynova’s lawsuit stemmed from the article “Remove all Armenians from Baku.” Citizen I.Huseynova appealed to court claiming that her honor and dignity were damaged.
