The Institute for Peace and Democracy Chairperson Leyla Yunus is going to appeal to Yasamal District Court Chairman Aladdin Jafarov and Judge Ragib Gurbanov to hold an open hearing for the lawsuit of Internal Affairs Minister Ramil Usubov against her.
The hearing is scheduled to take place on 2 March. Leyla Yunus reported this during a press conference she held today, 20 February. The human rights defender stated that she is going to request for the hearing to be held in a bigger hall and permission to photograph and film the hearing. “If they do not fulfill my demands without showing any evidence, I will appeal to the Appellate Court,” added Leyla Yunus.
