MEDIA RIGHTS INSTITUTE BEING KICKED OUT OF OFFICE

Media Rights Institute is being kicked out of its office in Baku city on Kaverochkin Street two months prematurely. MRI Director Rashid Hajili told this to the Institute for Reporter’ Freedom and Safety.

According to Hajili, although he concluded a long-term rental agreement with the landlord, the landlord is demanding that MRI vacate the premises early. Hajili says information he has obtained indicates that government agencies pressured the landlord to evict them from the apartment early.
A result of this problem, Media Rights Institute plans to move to a new office.
