Mukhalifat newspaper editor-in-chief Rovshan Kabirli has sued the Executive Director of the State Fund to Assist in Development of Media, Vugar Safarli. This lawsuit stems from V.Safarli’s failure to respond to R.Kabirli’s 19 November 2009 information inquiry on the activity of fund.
In the information inquiry, V.Safarli was asked about the amount of money spent during the event held by the Fund in connection with the “National Press Day” and regarding the amount of grants allocated to each 55 winners of the competition held by the Fund – NGOs, information agencies and newspapers. However, the Executive Director has failed to respond to the information inquiry.
