Today, June 23, Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety Chairman Emin Huseynov was examined by an ophthalmologist.
Huseynov has been hospitalized since he was subjected to police brutality on June 14. According to Huseynov, the doctor told Huseynov that the vision problems he has been experiencing since he was hospitalized are the symptom of a concussion.
Huseynov said that he is still experiencing headaches, neck pain, vision problems, and has ringing in his ears. “In comparison with the first day, it has gotten better and the doctors are allowing me to walk around a couple of times a day,” he said.
