November 16th, 2009
On 13 November, during the meeting of the Milli Mejlis, Parliamentarian, Yeni Azerbaijan Party Member, Aydin Hasanov stated that he does not consider it right to allocate 50 million AZN for the Parliamentary elections next year.

He suggested that the Parliament retain the same content until Garabakh conflict is solved, and the money allocated be spent to increase pensions.

YAP Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov assessed this suggestion positively. “Then they ask, ’where can we find money for necessary issues?’ This means that we can find it if we want,” said Ahmadov.

YAP Political Council member Aydin Mirzazade objected to postponing of the Parliamentary elections.

After break, Ali Ahmadov spoke and said that this suggestion was a joke. Deputy Siyavush Novruzov said that every member of the Milli Mejlis has the right to put forth a proposal.
