Today in the Nasimi District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Kamaleddin Badelov, a hearing on Binagedi Gas Department section Chief Natig Jafarov's lawsuit against "Ideal" Newspaper Chief Editor Nazim Guliyev was conducted.
During the hearing N. Jafarov's lawyer Elmira Sariyeva said that reconciliation must be initiated by the defense. "Reconciliation will become possible when 'Ideal' Newspaper publishes a refutation," she said. Another representative for Jafarov, Zohrab Jafaorv, agreed with this, saying that "Ideal" Newspaper must write refutations for all six articles written about his client.
The defense expressed its willingness to reconcile. Nazim Guliyev's lawyer Beylar Mamishov also told the court that Guliyev did not write the articles that prompted Jafarov's lawsuit. Guliyev himself told the court, "Let the plaintiffs withdraw their lawsuit, I can give a refutation whenever they want."
According to the judge, both sides need to introduce petitions to formalize the reconciliation, and then it will become official.
