PRESS COUNCIL CONDUCTS MONITORING ON TRENDS IN MEDIA

According to Sharq Newspaper, the Press Council has unveiled the results of monitoring conducted to determine general tendencies in the media.

According to the results of monitoring conducted on  “525-ji gazet”, “Azerbaijan”, “Yeni Musavat”, “Iki sahil”, “Baki-Khabar”, “Yeni Azerbaijan”, “Azadlig”, “Respublika”,  “Impuls”, “Khalg gazeti”, “Ses”, “Ekho”, “Sharg”, “Paritet”, “Zerkalo”, “Palitra”, “Ekspress”, “Khalg jabhasi”, “Adalet”, “Olaylar”, “Kaspi”, “Reyting”, “Merkez”, and “Khazar” newspapers, reductions in the total number of materials published in the mass media was observed during two months.
There was more political news in newspapers, according to the monitoring results. Although the names of the newspapers have not been concretely mentioned, it is noted in the reports that the number of critical articles increased, and in several articles journalists approached professionalism principles indifferently.
