REPAIR WORK WILL CLOSE “CASPIAN PLAZA” CONFERENCE HALL

The “Caspian Plaza” conference hall will cease its operations in a few days.

The facilities’ manager Elshan Suleymanov told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.

According to Suleymanov, this is due to an auto-garage to be built in the yard of the building and repair work to be done on the top floor of the conference hall. “The repair and construction work causes noise. This interferes with conferences. Therefore we decided to cease the operations of the conference hall until the end of October,” he said.

A number of press centers have already been closed for about the same reason, however some people believe this is related to the 15 October 2008 presidential elections day in Azerbaijan.
