RIGHT DEFENDER’S NAME BLACKLISTED

On Thursday morning, the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS) Chairman Emin Huseynov was held at the Baku Airport by Border Service upon his arrival to Baku from Istanbul.

The Border Service employees seized Huseynov’s passport citing procedures. “An officer from State Border Service told me that my name was on the blacklist, but he didn’t go into details as to what list he means,” Huseynov told Turan.
Huseynov’s passport was given back  20 minutes later and he was allowed to cross the border.
Huseynov will file relevant inquiries and appeals to relevant governmental agencies with regard to violation of his rights.
