Arshad Hasanov, the chief of Prison #14, told APA that doctors examining imprisoned "Azadlig" Newspaper journalist/satiric Sakit Zahidov determined that Zahidov does not need to receive medical treatment in the head medical facility of the Penitentiary System for medical treatment.

Therefore Zahidov will remain at Prison #14.
The Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety contacted Hasanov to obtain information about this, however he refused to provide any information. IRFS also contacted Prison #14 at 17:00 p.m.  The person answering the phone said they have no information that Zahidov will be transferred to the medical facility. "We are still waiting for the opinion of Ministry of Justice Head Medical Office," the unidentified person said.
Sakit Zahidov's wife Rena Zahidova told IRFS that she does not believe her husband will be transferred. "This is the third time he has been lied to," said Zahidova. "Although they promised to move him to the medical facility to get him to stop his hunger-strike, they didn't keep their promises."
