Imprisoned "Azadlig" newspaper journalist Sakit Zahidov's health has deteriorated. Zahidov's wife Rena Zahidova told this to the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety.
Zahidova received this information from a person who visited the imprisoned journalist in Prison # 14. Zahidova didn't want to reveal the identity of the person, but said that Sakit's situation is serious. Zahidova said, "Sakit wants me to buy some medicine and send him through this person. He is in very serious condition."
Zahidova said she is very concerned about her husband and plans to visit him tomorrow (14 May).
