SALE OF “HURRIYYAT” NEWSPAPER BANNED IN SHAMKIR, GOYGOL AND GANJA

Sale of “Hurriyyat” Newspaper has been banned in Shamkir, Goygol and Ganja. “Hurriyyat” Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Suleyman Mammadli told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.

According to Mammadli, a week passed since the sale of the newspaper was banned by region executive power heads in these regions. “Articles about corruption cases in health system, military commissariats and universities in these regions were published in our newspaper,” said Mammadli. The ban may be related to this. If these bans go on we will appeal to the head of the government and then to law enforcement organs.”
