Today, 10 November, in the Baku Appellate Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Gail Mammadov, a hearing took place on the appeal of Citizen Sayyara Heydarova and injured party Alim Babayev.
Yashar Asgerov gave a witness account, and said that citizen Sayyara Heydarova beat him. Then Asgarov Yashar Khalil oglu was arrested for burglary and is being held in prison #2”.
S.Heydarova said that Y.Asgarov was not there when the incident happened and she considered the witness account to be unfounded.
Judge G.Mammadov stated that he upheld the decision adopted by the Surakhani District Court and did not fulfill the appeal.
Citizen Sayyara Heydarova was sentenced to 2 years 7 months and 15 days of corrective labor with one year conditional imprisonment (probation) under articles 221.1, 221.1 and 221.3 of the Criminal Code.
Citizen S. Heydarova filed an appeal because the Surakhani District Judge N.Mustafayev adopted a verdict without her participation in the hearing and because of rude violations and falsifications during the investigation.
Injured party A.Babayev filed an appeal because he did not agree to the decision of the Surakhani District Court Judge Nuraddin Mustafayev to sentence Heydarova to 2 years 7 months and 15 days of corrective labor with one year conditional imprisonment.
