A contest carried out with financial support from Open Society Institute of Media Rights Center – Assistance Fund on the topic of “Journalist investigations on the Situation of human Rights” for journalists has concluded.
Today, the presentation of prizes took place in the International Press Center.
According to the Chairperson of the Media Rights Center Metanet Muslimgizi, the contest started on 15 February 2008 and concluded on 15 May. She said that on the basis of a unanimous decision of the panel of judges no one was awarded the first place.
Malahat Rzayeva of Sharg gazeti took II place, Gulnur Rafiggizi of Ganja Media Center employee took III place, Arzu Soltan, an independent journalist, took IV place, Farman Nabiyev of Mingachevir Ishiglari newspaper took V place, and Etibar Seyidaga of Yeni Musavat Newspaper took VI place.
At the end of the event the winners were rewarded with money in different amounts and with diplomas.
