Today (Sunday, March 30) two more employees from “Azadlig” Newspaper were questioned in the Chief Prosecutor’s Grave Crimes Investigation Department.
“Azadlig” Newspaper Director Azer Ahmedov told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety, “Today newspaper’s employee Aytan Mammedova and former employee Ali Rzayev were called to the Prosecutor.”
Recall that yesterday (Saturday, 29 March) Azer Ahmedov was questioned by investigator Ali Guliyev, deputy chief editor Parviz Jabrayilov by investigator Ariz Aliyev, and Secretary Elshan Shirinov and correspondent Gultekin Huseynova by investigator Parviz Ibayev. During the questions there were questioned about the 22 February beating of Agil Khalil and his March 13 stabbing. Specifically they were asked what was Khalil wearing when he came to work, what did he say when he left work and who came to him at the scene of the incident.
