TURKISH COMMUNITY IN BRITAIN ADDRESSES APPEAL TO ABDULLA GUL IN CONNECTION WITH EYNULLA FATULLAYEV

Turkish community in Britain addressed an appeal to the President of Turkey Abdulla Gul in connection with imprisoned Editor-in-chief of “Gundalik Azerbaijan” and “Realniy Azerbaijan” newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev who is being held in prison #12 in Azerbaijan.

The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety was told this by E.Fatullayev’s father Emin Fatullayev.
“Eynulla Fatullayev received cards from 39 cities of Britain, 6 cities of Canada, and also from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Malaysia, Wales, Sweden, Costa-Rica, Belgium, and Italy during the New Year’s eve,” said Emin Fatullayev. “There are lawyers, professors and journalists among authors. Turkish community in Britain addressed an appeal to the President of Turkey in connection with Eynulla Fatullayev. Turkish community asks the President of Turkey Abdulla Gul to use Turkey’s influence to attempt to release Eynulla Fatullayev.”
Emin Fatullayev noted that students in Italy began a signature gathering campaign to free Eynulla Fatullayev, and about 1000 students have already appealed to President Ilham Aliyev.
