Today, 12 March, in the press center of the Institute for Reporters` Freedom and Safety, the Youth Club Public Union conducted a press conference regarding the departure of the US International Republican Institute from Azerbaijan at the end of this month.
Youth Club Chairman Zaur Akber said that the International Republican Institute conducted several seminars and trainings to form the youth in democratic spirit and made contribution to this sector.
He thanked International Republican Institute Director Jake Jones and all employees of the Institute. He added that the Youth Club, which had cooperated with the International Republican Institute, will continue its mission.
Zaur Akber presented a special award of the Youth Club to International Republican Institute Director Jake Johns for his services. The Youth Club International Relations Department Head Aytaj Imanova presented him with a flower bouquet.
Jake Jones thanked the organizers of the event and expressed hopes that the International Republican Institute will restore its operation in Azerbaijan.
