Today, 19 January, in the Sabail District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Elnur Hasanov, a court hearing was held on the lawsuit ("To consider inactivity of High ranking Official Illegal") of the head of the Center for Assistance to Free Economy Zohrab Ismayil against the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Ismayil and his authorized representative Fariz Mammadov participated as the in the hearing.
The judge stated that an appeal from CEC was submitted to the court before the hearing began. “CEC representatives say that the statute of limitations has expired and therefore, the lawsuit should not be fulfilled,” said the judge. On the basis of this appeal, the judge did not fulfill the lawsuit.
