The past few days have seen mass resignations by employees of ANS TV channel. Several well-known journalists are known to have left: Anar Jabrayilli, Azada Balayeva, Tural Aliyev, Elnur Hidayatoghlu, and Jeyhun Asgarov, all of whom have been working at ANS for a long time. Zamina Aliyeva has also resigned.
Anar Jabrayilli is currently working at Azersun Holding’s press service, Yeni Musavat reports.
Another ANS TV reporter and well-known journalist Jeyhun told Qafqazinfo that, he decided to change his job, and so he left ANS TV.
“Leaving ANS was a personal decision. However, I have not stopped my journalistic activity. For the moment, I will continue my activity as a journalist at ARAZ 103.3 Radio station,” he said.
Today, ANS Group of Companies Chief PR consultant Mais Mammadov told IRFS that the main reason for the journalists’ leaving their jobs is that, they found new jobs:
“ The main reason for these employees leaving ANS is that they found new jobs. Although some of the journalists attribute their resignation to their low salary, this is not the case. ANS TV presenters receive 1000-1500 manats. Those who left their jobs were getting 600-800 manats,” said Mammadov. He added that some presenters had attributed their resignation to policy problems at the company, which he also denied.
