AZERBAIJANI PRESS SUFFERS A LOSS

Yesterday (4 May) professional Azerbaijani journalist Agil Gachayoglu passed away after a long struggle with cancer.

He was 53 years old. Gachayoglu was born in 1955 in Agdam region and graduated from the Journalism Faculty of Baku State University in 1976. He worked at different newspapers during the Soviet era, and after Azerbaijan gained its independent he was employed by “525 Gazet,” “Yeni Yuzil,””Bizim Esr,” and “Gun Sahar” newspapers. Most recently he was working at “Yeni Musavat.”
