“European Union is concerned about the imprisonment of journalists in Azerbaijan.” Cristina Gallakh, the representative of Supreme Commissioner on EU Foreign Policy and Security Issues Xavier Solana, said this during an interview to “Radio Liberty”.
Gallakh noted that Azerbaijan’s government needs to conduct reforms in the area of democracy adding that insuring freedom of speech is a fundamental issue for EU in collaborating with Azerbaijan.
