NTRC CHAIRMAN DISCUSSES ISSUE OF FOREIGN RADIO STATIONS WITH NORWAY’S AMBASSADOR

Yesterday, 26 November, National TV and Radio Council Chairman Nushiravan Maharramli met with Norway’s Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jan Ramberg.

According to APA, discussions have been held in connection with the recent statement of NTRC chairman about ceasing operations of foreign radio stations via local frequencies. According to APA, Maharramli told Ambassador Ramberg that only local TV and Radio broadcasters can operate on local frequencies according to law “On TV and Radio Broadcasting.”
