Today, 14 October, the “Respublika” newspaper’s activity was restored. The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety was told this anonymously by an employee of the newspaper. The employee noted that the problems have been solved and the next edition of the newspaper was published again.
The "Respublika” newspaper has not been published since 7 October. Although Editor-in-chief Teymur Ahmadov said that the reason for ceasing the newspaper’s publication is the paper shortage and the debts that the distribution firms owe to the newspaper, he noted that invisible forces are interested in the closure of the newspaper.
The Business Office of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic is the founder of the “Respublika” newspaper.
